How long should I wait before adding fish?

Allow 3 to 4 weeks for the tank to cycle, so beneficial bacteria can build up in the filter. Check the water with test strips: once nitrite reads zero for several days in a row, you can add your first livestock, a few at a time.

How many hours a day should the LED light be on?

Start with 6 hours a day in a new tank, then move up to 7 or 8 hours once the plants are established. The built-in timer on our lights keeps a steady routine, which helps keep algae at bay.

Do you sell live fish or plants?

No, Aquaréa sells equipment only: tanks, lighting, tools, décor and maintenance gear. Fish and plants do not travel well by parcel post, so we recommend buying them from a local fish shop when you are ready to add them.

How long does delivery take, and can I return items?

Delivery time depends on your country: the latest delivery date is shown in your cart before payment and in the confirmation email, and you receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships. Shipping is free on orders from €49. You have 14 days after delivery to withdraw, using the “Withdraw from the contract here” link at the bottom of every page. Our support team answers by email.
